AFC Leopards has vowed to clear the arrears it owes to former coach Ivan Minnaert as per commitment.
Football Kenya Federation had sent a letter on 6th April 2017 asking the club for a status report on the commitment made to pay the former coach his outstanding dues in the installments starting from February to July this year.
The move to clear the arrears has been confirmed by the Ingwe’s secretary general Oscar Igaida in an interview with Sportpesa Premier League portal where he assured the federation that his club is working to fix issue as agreed.
“We are finding means to pay as we committed. We Know we stil owe him and the only way to settle is by paying. No excuse about that,”he said.
The 13 times Kenya Premier League champions committed to pay Minnaert salary arrears to a tune of Ksh 2.2 million for unlawful termination of contact in September 2016 and so far they have paid only half a million to the current Mukura Victory coach.
