Brian Umony has drafted an emotional letter to his club St. George FC thanking them for sticking by him since suffering a broken leg.
The Uganda international suffered the horrifying injury while playing against Arbaminch Sports Club in a league match last week. He was airlifted to Nairobi, Kenya for further treatment, where he has been there for nine days now recuperating after undergoing a surgery.
“Today marks nine days since I broke my leg against Arbaminch sports club.
I would like to express my sincere and humble gratitude and thanks to the president, board and management of St. George Football Club for looking after me and making sure am on the right path to recovery,” Umony said.
“Sincere thanks to the president Mr Abinet, Mr Ephraim Mr Tafese, the coaching staff, medical staff, medical team at both St Yared and the Cure hospital, support staff, my teammates and the fans of this great club for the physical mental and emotional support they gave to me during this difficult time. God bless you all, God bless St. George Football Club.” He added.
