Ghanaian International star Thomas Partey has attracted interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United who are are both looking to bolster their midfield in the summer.

But the two English clubs could face competition to sign Partey after Seria A side Inter Milan and Roma joined the race for the 26-year old.

According to reports by the Mirror, Atletico are hoping to tie down Partey to a new deal – although discussions are still ongoing with no agreement reached yet.

Partey has a £42million release clause in his contract and the longer the talks go on without a resolution, the more it will encourage Partey’s suitors to put in bids.

Mundo Derpotivo is reporting that the ongoing situation with contract talks has alerted Inter Milan, who have joined United, Arsenal and Roma in weighing up a swoop for the for the Black Stars midfileder.

Partey is always first choice for Rojiblancos boss Diego Simeone, who proved his worth in the game against Liverpool at Anfield.
