Four Rwandan top league players have secured professional stints with Slovakian third division side MFK TOPVAR on 18 months contracts each.

The quartet of Iranzi Jean Claude, Rwatubyaye Abdoul (APR FC),Kalisa Rachid (Police FC) and Omborenga Fitina (Kiyovu SC) inked the deals on Tuesday and travelled to neighboring Kenya to secure travel documents at Slovakia embassy in Nairobi.

“That’s true, we have already let our players join this club,” APR Secretary General Alisa Adolphe confirmed to Ruhagoyacu.

“The club officials met us and we discussed and reached a conclusion. They met us officially; they come in legal way and we agreed on important issues.” Kalisa reiterated.

No money exchanged hands at this level, but it is agreed that subsequent moves will attract 30% compensation for the clubs as MFK Chairman Abdulaziz Benaoudia believes the players will soon move to higher league divisions or even crossover to Belgium.

The club hails from Topolcany town and was formed in 1912; they play home matches at 20,000 capacity Futbalovy Stadion Vojtecha.
