By John Tony,
Four years ago during her SLFA declaration speech she said,”There are two types of people in this world.
Those who MAKE history, and those who are PART of making History.”
On the 16th of March 2017 in Addis Ababa she did both.
This torrential wind of change that she, the only female FA President in Africa and a handful of extremely courageous other African FA Presidents swept across the African continent to unseat the three decade old Hayatou regime is nothing but a remarkable staggering insight into a new breed of LEADERS in our continent.
Their vision, using the power of football to clean not just the sport but the image of their respective countries and ultimately mother Africa will be one that observers will keenly watch with great interest.
Gamblers and Gambling in football has deflowered this beautiful game called football..the purity and the innocent genuine passion for the game is no longer.
Greed and manipulators, trading cash for give away matches of national games have now become the custodians and administrators in football.
This has given syndicates like the gambling and drugs cartel ( which by the way work hand in hand each feeding off the other)access to power and influence of great magnitude in the countries they operate in.
Isha Johansen”s sweet victory particularly hit Rodney Michael the long suffering embittered Lebanese/Irish ( unfortunately born in Sierra Leone ) who has vowed to spend every living day on earth fighting Isha Johansen.
Rodney Michael the serial and chronic gambler wanted to be President of SLFA in 2013.
He was disqualified under Fifa integrity statute clause. He is the younger brother of the managing director of mercury international ( gambling firm) he uses the name of his petty traders boys to pen push vile stories Isha Johansen to try and disrupt football in Sierra Leone .
How the wind of change is going to root out these cartels in the football industry In countries like Sierra Leone,SouthAfrica, and a host of other countries around the world would be interesting to watch.
One thing is sure though, and that is there is a new martial order both in Fifa and now in CAF.
As the saying goes, you can run but you cannot hide.
At least not with this current wind of change. From fly on the wall football will grow in Sierra Leone and Rodney Michael will face the music.
