Zambia Midfielder Emmanuel Banda says it hurts him to know that he will miss the 2018 World Cup Qualifier against Nigeria on Saturday.
Banda who was a key member of the Zambia U-20 side that won the Cosafa Youth Championship, 2017 Africa Youth Championship and the Quarter Final defeat to Italy at the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Korea, made a cameo appearance for the senior National Team against Algeria in Lusaka.
He has however, expressed confidence that Zambia will do the business in Uyo.
“It hurts me to know that i wont be physically present with the Mighty Chipolopolo as they take down they Eagles in Uyo this Saturday due to an injury i sustained during our game here two weeks ago.
“In as much as i wanted to be with the team i could not beat the late fitness test. But one thing is for sure,we will be together spiritually.” Said Banda
Banda who plays for Belgian side KV Oostende says he is looking forward to regain fitness.
“Thanks to everyone who wished me a quick recovery. I am getting better as the sun rises and sets. Each day makes me fit and stronger.”
