Zambia midfielder Cletus Chama, has been released by Egyptian side Ittihad of Alexandria finally.

The former Zesco United midfielder, asked for the termination of his contract, before he even played for his new club.

Chama, went on to prevent his TMS from being sent to the Egyptian Football Association from the Football Association of Zambia.

However, Ittihad could not release him before paying back $ 25 000–the amount of money, he received upon signing the contract.

The transfer of the money from Zambia to Ittihad’s official Bank account and final paper work was taking place in the few passed days.

The player’s intermediary, Faustino Mukandila exclusively told soka25east.com, that the transaction of the money and final paper work is complete.

“Chama is free from etthiad now. We gave their money back. All papers are done” said Mukandila.

He added “Chama can now play for other clubs in Egypt. Just a club that can fulfill their engagements. In summer we will get offers”.

When asked why Chama requested for the termination of contract, Mukandila said “The president is a nice person and respectful. But as you know, Ittihad has money issues. And that made the boy scared”.

The Belgian based Intermediary said “Chama went 3 months without being paid. And we were going for 3 years and 6 months”.
