Uganda Cranes midfielder Ivan Ntege made his debut for Botswana Premier League side Township Rollers in their 1-1 draw over Kaizer Chiefs in a friendly match played at Francistown Complex on Saturday 22 July.
Rollers side succumbed to a late-late equalizer having gone ahead through Boy Segolame three minutes after the start.
Ntege made his presence felt with a curler on 78th minutes, then headed a corner out and thereafter sent a thumping half-volley wide, all within the final minutes of the game.
Kaizer Chiefs staged a gallant fight to find the equalizer a minute to full time with George Lebese’s hard hit strike.
The midfielder left his coaches praising him with the club portal stating that he was among the star players from the match;
“Uganda born central defensive midfield anchor Ivan Ntege was impressive in midfield anchor role, disturbing the Chiefs midfield of Willard Katsande, George Maluleka, Hendrick Eikstein and George Lebese from combining.”
