Kenyan premier league defending champions Gor Mahia have landed the signature of Jacob Keli in a one year deal Soka25east.com can reveal.
Jacob Keli joins ffrom Zambian Top club Nkana where he was a flop in the 2015 season failing to live up to the billing forcing the team to drop him from the squad for the 2016 season.
Jacob Keli who seemed relieved after the shock move said “I am happy to join league champions. I know it’s a tall order and a lot is expected from me in terms of goals and wins in every league match. I wish to keep the unbeaten run and bring joy to the fans,
“I am eager to partner with Olunga like in the national team. He is the one of the best if not the best player around. Gor Mahia has quality players and I know it will bring out the best in me,” Keli said
The former Kenyan premier league footballer of the year and AFC Leopards player had an unsuccessful stint in Zambia hence opting out at the end of the season.
Keli’s move to to Gor Mahia is intended to help him revive his form that saw him finish as the top scorer at both AFC Leopards and KCB FC in 2015 and 2013 respectively, the latter saw him crowned the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Player of the Year and Golden Boot winner.
