Fresh from leading Rwanda to quarterfinals of CHAN 2016, where they lost 2-1 to DR Congo over the weekend, Amavubi skipper Jacques Tuyisenge is expected in Kenya today noon to link up with his new club Gor Mahia.
Tuyisenge will land at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport to a new nickname “Ja Usenge”, given to him in absentia by the adoring K’Ogalo fans, who expect him to make them forget last year’s golden boy Michael Olunga whom he is supposed to replace.
The former Police FC skipper will later on at 2PM, be among eleven new signings, the club is expected to officially present to the media at their secretariat situated at Nyayo Stadium.
Gor Mahia is also expected to announce the name of their new shirt sponsor at the same function.
24-year old Tuyisenge did not score for the Amavubi at CHAN. His move to K’Ogalo cost USD 40,000, making him the most expensive player in KPL this season.
