Former AFC Leopards coach James Nandwa has been appointed Thika United head coach replacing Moses Irungu with the changes taking immediate effect.
Thika United’s chairman Elio Lolli confimed to Soka25east.com on the new development as Nandwa embarked on training the team on yesterday(Thursday).
“Yes its true Nandwa is now handling the team taking over from Irungu.We have made the changes as we seek to transform the team to get better results “Lolli told Soka25east.com
“Yes its true i begun training the team yesterday(Thursday) and hopefully we are working hard for a turnaround as the season has only gone four weeks”Lolli told Soka25east.com
Nandwa formerly coaches Utalii fc,Karuturi,AFC Leopards,Shabana and also Tanzanian side Coastal union.
Irungu was elevated to the head coach’s position following the resignation of Briton Tim Bryett but the first stanza of the 2016 season has seen the team claiming a place at the lower reaches of the league.
