Jesse Were scored a brace as Zesco United beat City rivals Buildcon 2-0 to qualify for the 2019 ABSA Cup final in the second semifinal played at Nkoloma Stadium this afternoon.
Were found the net on 40 minutes after being set up by a Lazarous Kambole cross, for him to finish at the far post.
He completed his brace in the 53rd minute from the penalty spot after, Kambole was fouled in the box by Buildcon keeper Ngeleka Katembwa.
Zesco United will be greatful that Jesse Were was left out of the Harambee Stars squad and the Kenyan was on fire this afternoon.
Meanwhile in the other game Zanaco beat Green Eagles 3-2 on penalties to set up a must watch final with Zesco United to be played at the Levy Mwanawasa on June 22.
