POWER Dynamos striker Jimmy Ndhlovu has said he is targeting coming back strong next season after a career threatening injury saw him spend over eight months on the side-lines this season.
Ndhlovu suffered an achilles tendon rupture during a preseason training with Power in Mansa in January 2016.
He has since returned to fitness and scored on goal for Power in their 5-1 demolition of Nakambala Leopards at Arthur Davis Stadium in Kitwe in October.
“It was frustrating to be out for so long, I has just re-signed for Power and I was looking forward to play but I suffered the greatest horror of my career.
“It is good to be back, my family and everyone at Power Dynamos have been very supportive during my time on the side-lines, it is time to repay that faith and support,” Ndhlovu said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday day.
He said his immediate target is to get back to full fitness and rediscover his scoring touch and be in full shape for next season.
“The season is coming to an end, obvious I want to finish the campaign strong and contribute to the aspirations of the club, next season will be a different story, I am looking forward to a good season, I want to score goals again,” he said.
