Mauritius Coach Joe Tshupula has vowed to pull a surprise against Harambee Stars when the two clash in Nairobi on Sunday 11, in a reverse fixture of the FIFA World Cup round 1 preliminaries.
“Club M” crumbled in the hands of the East Africans going down 5-2 yesterday at the Anjalay Stadium, Bellevue, but the tactician is buoyant they can pick a win away from home.
“We are not going to give up. They may call me mad but we are going to Kenya to bring a result and we will go for the win,” Joe said.
“We took five goals which is bad. We do not deserve it. We lacked in front of goal and we conceded three goals from corner kicks which we need to review,”
The tactician believes they have learnt their weak points as well as those of their Sunday opponent and he will use them as a springboard to success.
“We conceded 60% of the goals from corner kicks. We need to be more careful for the next match,”
“It will not be easy but we have to believe, my players showed that they can play. We are going there to learn and it’s against these types of teams which we need. But we are definitely going for the win.” Joe concluded
The 22 man team is already in Nairobi ahead of the match, they will be putting up at Mvuli Hotel in Nairobi West.
For a chance to progres,Mauritius will have to win the game by a Cricket margin to reach second round where Cape Verde awaits.
The Team:
Christopher Bazerque, Colin Bell, Michael Bosqui, Adrien Botlar, Jonathan Bru, Christopher Caserne, Dylan Collignon, Marco Dorza, Kevin Jean Louis, Jana than,Justin Christopher L’Enclume, Adel Langue, Yohan Larhubarge, Kevin Perticots, Stephane Pierre, Fabian Pithia, Francis Rasolofonirina, Kurvin Rita, Andy Sophie,Walter ST Martin, Emmanuel Vincent.
