JUST IN: FERWAFA Secretary General arrested over corruption claims.

Rwanda FA (FERWAFA) Secretary General Oliver Mulundahabi was yesterday taken in by Rwanda Police for questioning over corruption allegations.

Police spokesperson ACP Celestin Twahirwa confirmed this.

Oliver is being accused of single handedly sourcing for a contractor for the construction of a 4-Star FERWAFA Hotel in Remera.

The contract was handed to Expert Company Limited without competative bidding.

The 120 room hotel project which is party funded by a loan from Rwanda Development Bank is part of FIFA Goal Project development programme meant to establish infrastructure and facilities to broaden growth of football in developing countries.
