Proline FC defender Savio Kabugo has attributed his national team return to God and tireless hardwork.

The intelligent and calm defender was yesterday named amongst the 23 Uganda Cranes team that will play against an Eastern Region Select side on Sunday at Kamuli town council play ground.

“I attribute my return to the Cranes to God and my tireless hardwork. It has not been an easy journey as I almost quit football. The Cranes environment is not new to me and I hope to impress the technical team in the regional match on Sunday such that I am considered on the senior side” he said in an exclusive interview with Soka25east.com

Kabugo has been a strong pillar in defence for his Proline FC side in the Azam Uganda Premier league since the second round began and will deputise Emmanuel Okwi as captain in the Eastern regional tour.

He had last featured for the Cranes in November 2014 against Guinea in the AFCON qualifiers.
