The travelling Cape Verde party to Accra, Ghana has been named with last minute omission of National League forward Kadu sparking talks across the city of Praia.

According to the Islanders “B” head coach, Janito Carvalho, they didn’t want to rule out the mercurial striker in the 2017 WAFU tournament but the selection creteria that go with reinforcement of the A team and opportunity in the professional football market shelved the decision.

“He (Kadu) has been left out as a techinical measure. It was a last minute decision inorder to balance the squad,” Carvaldo told GreenSport,a Praia based television.

Kadu has been influential in Cape Verde recent games as he was in the score sheet too in the team’s last win in the CHAN Qualification process.
