Lameck Kafwaya’s 58th minute header helped Kabwe Warriors beat struggling Mufulira Blackpool 1-0 in the MTN FAZ Super League at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium.
With the victory Kabwe Warriors now move back into sixth position on the table.
It was a second victory in 3 games for stand in coach Chintu Kampamba and has seen him collect 7 points from a possible 10.
The Visitors had 3 members in their team with a history at Kabwe Warriors and were looking to help Mufulira Blackpool get a first win.
Hendrix Mumpa and Abuild Sakala all former players at Godfrey Chitalu Stadium were on top of things for Blackpool causing all sorts of problems for the Kabwe Warriors defense for many parts of the game.

Blackpool goalkeeper Charles Mulenga denied Warriors on several occasions. Jacob Phiri saw his shot kept out in spectacular fashion causing frustrations for the supporters.
But it was Warriors who took control of proceedings in the second half with substitute Mwansa Nsofwa’s corner converted by a leaping Lameck Kafwaya who got his 2nd goal in 3 games.
It was bad news for Warriors as well as Mwansa Nsofwa immediately withdrew from the match due to injury and was replaced by Langson Mbewe.
Blackpool pushed for an equalizer in the last 5 minuted but Warriors held on to condemn their rivals from Mufulira to their 18th defeat of the season.
