Saudi Professional League giants Al Ittihad Jeddah have roped in Egyptian midfielder Mahmoud Kahraba on a season long loan from Zamalek.
Kahraba who scored 11 goals in the 2015-16 Egyptian Premier league and 14 goals overall since joining Zamalek signed a one-year loan contract with the Jeddah hailing club.
The 22 years old midfielder is capped 10 times with the pharaohs.He scored 4 goals during the 2015 U-23 Africa Cup of the nations qualifiers as Egypt finished bottom of group B at the tournament and failed to book a berth at Rio 2016 Olympics.
The right footed winger had stints in Switzerland with Luzern and Grasshopper on-loan from ENPPI prior joining Zamalek.
Kahraba was suspended and being investigated by Zamalek Club board of members led by controversial chairman Mortada Mansour for fuming at the technical bench after being substituted in the Cairo derby against Al ahly.
Al ittihad Jeddah are 2-times Asian Football Champions league.They are among Saudi’s torch bearers at continental level after finishing third during the 2015-16 Saudi Professional league campaign.
Egyptian fans should mark their calendars for one of Saudi’s biggest football rivalry between Al Ittihad and Al ahli when Mahmoud Kahraba and Mohammed Abdel Shafy face off.The Egyptian left back Shafy,formerly of Al ahly plays for for the latter.
