Howmine left it late to stop Black Rhinos from extending their lead at the top of the 2017 season in the process lost the bragging rights to Ngezi Platinum who swept past coachless Tsholotsho FC via a 4-1 drubbing.
An early 4th minute Toto goal had Howmine putting their noses in front. Unsettling the log leaders.
The balanced match was seemingly for the break with Howmine leading 1nil. But inform striker Lot Chiwinga equalised in the 43rd minute. To end the first half tied at 1all.
On resumption Black Rhinos looked the more side eager to clinch the three points. Stamford Mtizwa must have rallied his troops to up their game.
But the home side still were patient enough to withstand the onslaught and maintained their composure.
Just when everyone thought the match was headed for a stalemate..Howmine scored in the 83rd minute. This should keep the in a comfortable 6th position regardless of the outcome of the other matches.

This was anticipated to be ruthless relaunch by the Sunday Chidzambwa coached side back on to win ways. But the Airmen didn’t travel to Kariba town for sightseeing or sourcing electric energy.
They came to battle and gave it all out. In the end got a point that moved a little more up on the bad. Its a steady progress to probably get out of the relegation waters.
