Its Looking increasingly likely that Kaizer Chiefs new coach Giovani Solinas will not be on the bench for the opener in the Absa Premier league against Mamelodi Sundowns as he is battling to get a work permit
However Kaizer Chiefs have been quoted as saying they are optimistic the issue will be sorted out before Amakhosi travel to Loftus.
Solinas was unveiled by the club on 13 July, just a day before Chiefs were set to take part in the Maize Cup.
Assistant coach Patrick Mabedi took over the reins in that pre-season tournament and was again present in the dugout when they lost 2-1 to Sundowns in their next off-season outing.
The former Free State Stars coach was again absent from the touchline in their most recent fixture, against Cape Town City in the Mpumalanga Cultural Experience Cup at Mbombela Stadium last Saturday.
