Kaizer Chiefs have completed the signing of Ugandan international Godfrey Walusimbi from Kenya Premier League Champion Gor  Mahia.

Amakhosi said in a statement on their official website on Thursday afternoon.The Uganda Cranes left back joined on a three year deal which will end on 30 June 2021

Walusimbi will don jersey number 29 at Amakhosi

“I have  always known that Kaizer Chiefs is a great football club. Chiefs play for honours and that’s a positive mind set that every player dreams of”

“Just like every footballer,I always want to move one step further in my career and I think my move to Chiefs is one such step”Walusimbi said.

Wazza as he is affectionately known is awaiting his registration card to start playing for Kaizer Chiefs according to club football manager Bobby Motaung.

The 29 year old who can play as a fullback  and centre back was reported to have gone Awol by Gor Mahia earlier this month and taken a flight to South Africa to meet with Chiefs official about joining the club before the close of the transfer window on August 31.

Walusumbi is the second leftback signing this season following the capture of Leghlogonolo Miha from Buya Msuthu.
