Zambia national football team coach Wedson Nyirenda has dropped AC Leopards striker Winston Kalengo from the Chipolopolo squad scheduled for this weekend 2018 World Cup Group B qualifier match against Cameroon.
Inform Power Dynamo’s set of Patson Daka,Billy Mutare, Lawrence Chungu, Kelvin Mubanga as well as Green Buffaloe’s Jack Chiwa have also been dropped.
Also axed from the squad is Nkwazi ‘s forward Justin Shonga, Nkana’s Donashano Malama and Zanaco’s midfielder Richard Kasonde who also miss out.
After a dour performance against Zimbabwe, coach Wilson Nyirenda made the changes after the mediocre performance his squad put out losing 1-0 to Warriors in a international friendly arousing bitter reactions from fans.
However, TP Mazembe’s Rainford Kalaba is expected to inspire his national side to a win in Cameroon. New inclusions in the squad are the foreign based players who were left out in Zimbabwe match which Zambia lost 1-0.
Chipolopolo who are yet to record a win in their last two international matches will be seeking for at a least a win when they travel to Cameroon this weekend.
