Zesco United striker Westone Kalengo has been short listed in both ‘Player of the Year category’ and ‘Most disciplined player’ at the forthcoming 2015 Zambia Super league Awards.
Kalengo is nominated on the main accolade alongside his club mate at Zesco United Cletus Chota Chama and Zanaco FC striker Moses Phiri.
The nominees for the Most disciplined Player of the Year are Zesco United duo of Weston Kalengo and Goalkeeper Jacob Banda with Red Arrows FC striker Festus Mbewe completing the list.
17 years old Lusaka Dynamos striker Conlyde Luchanga,defender Boyd Mkandawire of NAPSA Stars and another defender Benedict Chepeshi of Red Arrows are contesting for Young Player of Year.
Chipolopolo interim head coach Gorge Lwandamina who is also league winning guffer with Team Ya Ziko and Baclays Cup finalist coaches Bilton Musonda of Green Buffaloes and Elijah Chikwanda of Nkwazi are running of the Best Coach of the Year.
At the Gala,Westone Kalengo will be officially be crowned as 2015 Zambia Super league Top Scorer and will be presented with a golden boot.
KalenGoal,duped by some sectors of the media had an eye catching season,finishing as league top scorer and becoming the only striker in this era to have scored 100 league goals.He also had a fruitful streak with the National team,banging goals in 2016 CHAN,2017 AFCON and 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
