Good development
Football Association of Zambia President Andrew Kamanga posted the following on his Facebook page….
Our work to develop the beautiful game is set to receive a massive boost as FIFA increases funding to FAZ. 2019 will see us receive US$3 MILLION.
US$1Million is for operations and football development while US$2million is for infrastructure development.
My executive has targeted stadia in Chipata, Kasama, Solwezi and Mansa for upgrades.
FootballDevelopment.
This is a massive intent by the association taking infrastructure development all, the way to the outlying areas of the country.
An important development and I couldnt have allowed it to pass without resharing the post. Depending on the works that would be done in these four province, it is hoped that FAZ will subsequently endeavor to spread the search for younger and upcoming talents from these regions.
But as matter of concern one candid as I want to be needed to understand is what criteria or modalities where used to choose Mansa, Kasama, Solwezi and Chipata. And ignoring Livingstone or Choma, Mongu and Mpika.
Obviously it would be illogical of me to include Copperbelt, Lusaka and Central Provinces as these provinces have at least one or more facilities that are of good standing. Chiefly Railway Stadium in Kabwe, Heroes Stadium in Lusaka and Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Am hoping the authorities can shade some light on the system used. Are there plans of the other provincial cities been pushed to the 2020 financial year or its another of those forgotten emmisaries.
Am not trying to be trivial, but it’s only factual that all these provinces outside the three power players in Lusaka, Central and Copperbelt need these long overdue facelifts to boost the morale playing facilities in the respective provinces.
