Hopes for a positive result in Guinea
The Football Association of Zambia Presiden, Andrew Kamanga has thanked the fans for the support of the national team during the 2019 AFCON qualifier encounter against Guinea Bissau. The President said it was gratifying to see the big multitude of the fans and that alone was enough for the team to up their game. He also thanked the Republic President who also stands as the Patron of the Chipolopolo foe always finding time away from his busy schedule when Zambia is playing.
Zambia Beat Guinea 2-1 on Wednesday 10th October 2018 with goals coming from Justin Shonga and defender Stophila Sunzu. Guinea Bissau got the consolation through Mendy in the closing minutes of the match.
Kamanga is hopeful that the team will still make the nation proud as they head to Guinea for the fourth encounter of the qualifiers on Sunday 14th October 2018.
Zambia equaled the points of both Mozambique and Guinea on four though Mozambique has a chance of going to seven points should they beat Namibia on Saturday.
Another interesting scenario is of Namibia beating Mozambique which will leave Group K right with all teams on four points.
