Ghana U-17 male team coach, Karim Zito has named a 20-man squad for the CAF U-17 African Cup of Nation zonal qualifying competition in Niamey, Niger.

The Black Starlets have been paired in Group A of the WAFU B Zonal championship with Togo and Niger.

Group B has Cote d’voire, Benin, Nigeria and Burkina Faso.

The WAFU B Zonal tournament is scheduled for September 2-15, 2018.

The winner joins seven others for the African Cup of Nations tournament to be held in Tanzania from 12-16 May, 2019.

This qualifying tournament is new format adopted by the football governing body, CAF to increase participation at the level of teams in the qualifiers and enhanced expose and competitiveness by getting all involved.
