KCCA Football club has condemned the acts of hooliganism seen in the Tuesday 11th October Azam Premier League clash against Kirinya-Jinja SS which saw the game marred by violence moments after the final whistle.
An individual believed to be a KCCA fan was accused of confronting match referee but the club is categorical that he was not a club fan and could have just be from opposing team who attacked their players with the aim of causing trouble to tarnish the club’s name.
“While incidents in Bugembe were regrettable and avoidable,this kind of violence has no place in football and as such,the club utterly condemn the behaviour of the individual involved in the tuesday incidents.
“The club would like to assure its partners followers and football fraternity of its commintment to zero tolerance to violent and disruptive conduct.The club will work tireleslly to eradicate such incidents and any one in club structures indentified as being involved in crowd trouble will be dealt with decisively”, reads part of statement.
KCCA supporters have also taken to social media networks condeming the incident.
