KCC FC’s fell in the hands of their opponents Nkana of Zambia ending their Caf champions league campaign when they lost 2-1 at home in a tough encounter played at the Namboole stadium on Saturday afternoon
Claude Bwalya and Christopher Munthali scored for the Zambian champions while Brian Majwega netted KCC FC’ only goal.
Nkana FC got into the game and deservedly got in front with Claude Bwalya netting on the half hour mark.
The Nkana star player slotted home from the edge of the 18 yard box after a good pass from danger man Ronald Kampamba.
The first half ended 1-0 in favour of the visitors but KCC FC replied three minutes after recess with a brilliant goal by Majwega,
Majwega converted a brilliant free kick from the edge of the area after Tony Odur was fouled.
Nkana’s Coach George ‘Best’ Nsimbe introduced Herman Wasswa for defender Ibrahim Kizza but it was Nkana who restored the lead in the 60th minute thanks to Christopher Munthali strike from close range.
The defender tapped in easily after goal keeper Jamal Salim failed to parry away Ronald Kampamba’s effort from a free kick.
KCC FC bowed out 4-3 on aggregate after a 2-2 draw in the first leg.
Nkana will meet Zamalek of Egypt which beat Angola’s Kabuscorp 1-0 on aggregate in the second round.
