KCCA FC has announced that it has appointed a new board of directors. In a press statement dated 14th November, the club owners, Kampala Capital City Authority announced the appointment of six directors who will run the club for three years.
Kabugo Julius Raymond will be assuming office as Chairman Board of directors effective from 1st November in a position he previously held at the same club.
Other directors appointed are Opio Charles George who previously was the club’s head of human resources , Ashaba Aggrery, Kasirye Nganda,Lwanga Tom Micky and Othieno Davis as the Board Secretary.
It still remains unclear the reason behind the new appointments and the fate of previous positions at the club. In the outgoing board, positions of Vice-Chairman,Finance Director were cleary stipulated in the previous appointments.Those positions were held by Godfrey Kisekka,Edgar Padulire whom their fate at the management of the club remains unknown.
KCCA are the Uganda Premier League defending champions and are currently on the top of the log.The club is virtually the most financially stable in the country.Also it is among the few clubs in East and Central Africa to own a modern stadium with artificial turf.
