KCCA FC earned a valuable point away from home when they held Sadolin Paints FC to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.
Despite being on the back foot for most of the match, Kasasiro Boys opened the scoring in the first half through Geoffrey Sserunkuma, but Sadolin found the equaliser minutes after half-time through fantastic strike from Norman Ojik.
The hosts dominated possession from the first whistle and fired the first warning shots, with Awany forcing a save from Dan Ekuyu in the fifth minute, and Okot doing the same 13 minutes later.
Sadolin were always looking to catch the KCCA on the counter and almost succeeded in the tenth minute as Eddie Segane got the better of Norman Ojik only for the striker to send his shot straight at Benjamin Ochan.
The visitors finally broke the dedlock in the 11th minute through Sserunkuma, after he was put through by a great pass from Derrick Nsimbabi, sending the ball past the painters goalkeeper to find the back of the net.
The second half opened on a high note whith the home side finding the equaliser two minutes after the break as Norman Ojik sent the ball into the back of the net catching KCCA defence napping.
After the goals KCCA started to pin the painters on their own half, creating most of the chances, while Sadolin looked to pounce on the counter.
Ssenkumba was the first man to test the goalkeeper in the 60th minute as he rose high to meet a free kick from Akinyemi but he was denied by Sadolin defender close to the line.
In the 64th minute Akinyemi forced another save from the Sadolin goalkeeper before Nsimbabi headed just wide six minutes later.
Sadolin goalie was called into action again in the 74th minute, palming a free-kick from Vicent Kayizzi over the crossbar, before blocking another good shot from Ochaya 10 minutes later.
In the final minutes there was end to end action as Ochaya forced a good save from Gumede in the 86th minute, before Akinyemi again saw his effort coming off the inside of the post a minute later.
Then in the 89th minute Sadolin almost capitalised from another quick break which saw Ojik breaking free on the right, but he failed to grab his brace and a late winner as he dragged his shot wide of target
