Onduparaka FC have pulled off one of the famous results of the season so far, beating league champions KCCA 2-1 on Friday at Betway Green Light Stadium.
Two second half goals from dangerman Mohammoud Shaban were enough for the newly promoted side to collect their first maximum points in the Azam Uganda Premier League.
KCCA kicked off the game on a low note with the bumpy ground denying the city boys a chance to play their usual passing game.In the first half Kasasiro boys Mutyaba tried his lack from long range but it was off target coming out to be only chance they had making them probably guilty of being a bit casual in the first half.
As for Onduparaka , it’s a huge credit to Livingstone Mbabazi, who secured his first victory as the coach.
Onduparaka played well in second half keeping the visitors in tight rope and their efforts were rewarded in 47th minute when Mohammad Shaban beat the offside trap for the opener.
A few minutes later in the 61th min Shaban doubled the scores for the hosts in a similar fashion beating KCCA’s back line and the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
KCCA minutes later had a quick reaction and in the 70th minute Nigerian striker Akinyemi pulled one back for the visitors with a long range shot to silence the green army.
Onduparaka FC enjoyed massive support at home with thousands of fans filling the stadium to witness their home team which did not dissapoint by securing their first victory in the Azam Uganda Premier League.
