All is set for KCCA FC to host inaugural Phillip Omondi Invitational Pre-season Tournament that will take place on the weekend of August 6-7 at Phillip Omondi Stadium,Kampala.

The two days tournament will include the hosts KCCA FC,Lweza FC,Express FC and Proline FC all of them being Azam Uganda Premier League sides.

In an interview with the club portal KCCA FC Chief Executive Officer David Tamale said that the club want to build on it and make the tournament an international event.

“It’s a good start and we want to build on it, our target is to make it an international tournament in probably three years’ time, but we are glad that we have started with the local teams, we will do what it takes for it to grow,” said Mr.Tamale.

Draw of the lots will be held on Friday August 5, 2016 at the KCCA FC media breakfast in Lugogo.

According to the event organizers each team will play two matches, with three points awarded for the win, one point for a draw, and a point for every goal scored.

In addition, shots on target will be taken into account and used to decide the competition winners if teams are level on points and goal difference.
