In Lierse ,Ayub Masika scored the only goal for Lierse in their 1-1 draw with Eupen. masika scored in the 13th minute of the match following a defensive blunder with the lead being sustained for half time.

The lead however was cancelled at the death when Sergio Rodriguez equalized for the visitors. Masika could have earlier extended Lierse lead but his shot went over bar.

In Bruxelles another Kenyan Johanna Omollo played for 88 minutes before being subsituted as his club Royal Antwerp thumped the hosts We Bruxelles 0-4 to cement their lead at the top for the automatic qualification to the Belgium top tier.

Stallone Limbombe scored for the visitors in the 11th minute beforeJoerie Dequevy’s penalty seven minutes later extended the lead for a HT 0-2 lead.

On resumption the league leaders continued with the goals galore with Cedric Faure adding the third in the 53rd minute before Geoffrey Hairemans completed the rout in the 89th minute.

The win saw Antwerp extend their lead at the top to 9 points with 45 points from 20 matches with second placed Tubize failing to reduce the lead after a shock 0-1 loss to Roesalae.

Lierse stuck at 28 points from 20 matches.

Lierse travel to Dessel on 30th January for a league clash with Antwerp playing hosts to KS Heist.
