Kenya will face Uganda in a friendly in Nairobi on March 22, officials have announced.
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) said the match will be played
either at Moi International Sports Centre Stadium or Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
A 25-man squad will be named early next month and the players are expected to assemble at a date to be announced by federation in Nairobi.
Coach Stanely Okumbi’s team will constitute mainly of players he is expected to feature in journey to Cameroon 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers that kicks off this June.
The friendly will be Kenya’s first warm-up game this year,with the side scheduled to face DR Congo two days later in Nairobi and at a venue that will be decided later.
Kenya and Uganda last met in a friendly match played in Kampala in August last year in a game that ended 0-0.
Kenya and Uganda will be begin their contention for places in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in June 2017.Harambee Stars will be away to Sierra Leone while Uganda will open their campaign at home aganist Cape Verde.
