DR Congo side AS Vita Club is courting Gor Mahia left full back Abouba Sibomana for a possible January switch.
The Rwandan international who signed for the 15-time Kenyan champions on a two year deal from Rayon Sports of Rwanda early this year intimated to Soka25east.com that the Congolese heavy weights are willing to break the bank for his services.
“They (Vita Club) contacted me to inquire if I would be interested in joining them in January. I told them that I still have one year left on my contract with Gor Mahia and if they want me they must agree with my club,” Abouba said.
The 26 years old is however not ruling out the thought of making a move from K’Ogalo next year but he is saying his focus at the moment is helping them win Kenyan Cup (GOTV Shield ).
“They are offering a good salary plus other allowances which are attractive but I told them at the moment I am a Gor Mahia player and any move must get approval from my club. Gor told me to stick around till the end of GOTV Shield matches and that is what I’m giving all my attention before we break for Christmas,”
Abouba has had a successful first season in the Kenyan Premier League and has also been active with the national team the Amavubi. He has so far helped Gor win three trophies with one still on sight.
He talks highly of his stay at K’Ogalo saying it has been fulfiling.
“I can’t complain about my stay here (Gor), I have really enjoyed it. The chairman, fans, technical bench and my teammates have been very supportive and I thank them for that, I can’t ask for more. I want to win more trophies with Gor.” He added.
