The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Sports will cushion footballers across Football Kenya Federation (FKF) national leagues following the cancelation of the competitions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On Tuesday, the ministry of sport directed clubs through the federation to submit details of 25 players and five officials each latest Wednesday 10:00 am to facilitate the process.
“FKF has held several meetings with the Ministry of Sports to discuss how best we can support players, clubs and leagues during these exceptional circumstances,
“In view of the aforementioned, the Ministry of Sports has requested that we urgently furnish them with a list of 30 members (25 players and five officials) for the National Leagues, that is the KPL, WPL, NSL, and Division One Men and Women Leagues,” read part of the statement.
The amount involved in this relief fund is yet to be made public.
