By James Maina,
Kenya improved in the latest FIFA rankings moving up to 95th as Ethiopia tumbled to 107 the probably due to inactivity.
Uganda dropped a place down to 87th from 86th while Tanzania improved to 106th from 113th in June.
Harambee Stars overcame Comoros in the Preliminary round in the Africa cup of nations qualifers beating them 2-1 in aggregate.
Former Harambee Stars captain Musa “Otero”Otieno lauded the rise saying that he hoped the team continues to get important results.
“The players and the technical bench deserve kudos as they have worked hard to improve in the FIFA rankings i belive they will still perform well as long as preparations are made adequately and on time”Musa told Soka25east.com
Ethiopia on the other hand had a great 2013 but the same has not been reflected so far this year as they have remained inactive since being eliminated from Chan hosted by South Africa in January.
Tanzania were the biggest suprise moving 9 places up after a stellar perfomance that saw them eliminate Zimbabwe in the first round Afcon 2015 qualifers.
