Neighbors and arch rivals Uganda remains the best ranked team in the East Africa region – gaining two places to 72nd.
The Harambee Stars’ meteoric rise can be attributed to the 2-1 win over Leopards of the DR Congo (41st ranked) in an international friendly this month.
The coach Stanley Okumbi’s side also settled for a 1-1 draw against Uganda in another warm-up during the same period.
Tanzania are the biggest gainers in the region – climbing 22 steps to 135, while Rwanda the greatest losers – dropping 24 places to 117.
Ethiopia who were inactive during the FIFA window same as Rwanda have dropped 20 places to 124.
Burundi are placed 141 two places down.
Egypt are the best ranked team in Africa at position 19th followed by Senegal (30), Cameroon (33), Burkina Faso (35) and Nigeria (40) respectively.
Brazil tops the world followed by Argentina, Germany, Chile and Colombia.
