Mashindano ya Kimataifa ya mchezo wa soka unaochezwa ufukweni mwa Bahari baina ya timu za Afrika Mashariki ulioandaliwa na serikali ya Kaunti ya Kilifi nchini Kenya yalifika tamati mwishoni mwa juma lililopita.
Haya yalikuwa ni mashindano ya kwanza ya ufukweni kuwahi kufanyika katika ukanda wa Afrika Mashariki na Kati.
Mataifa matano wenyeji Kenya, Uganda, Zanzibar ,Tanzania na Ghana wamekuwa wakishiriki katika mashindano haya yaliyoanza Ijumaa na yalimalizika siku ya Jumapili katika ufukwe wa Buntwani kati ya wenyeji Kenya na Zanzibar.
Baada ya dakika tisini za mchezo huo, Kenya waliibuka mabingwa baada ya kuishinda Zanzibar mabao 9 kwa 10.
Uganda ilishika nafasi ya tatu baada ya kuifunga Zanzibar Sand Heroes mabao 10 kwa 7.
Shirikisho la soka barani Afrika CAF liliidhinisha michezo hiyo.
Duniani mabingwa wa taji la mchezo huu ni Ureno na kombe la dunia liliandaliwa mwaka huu nchini Ureno.
Makala ya kwanza ya mashindano haya yalikuwa ni mwaka 1995 nchini Brazil na kombe la dunia kufanyika kila baada ya miaka miwili.
Mashindano yajayo yatafanyika nchini Bahamas mwaka 2017.
