The 2015 KPL top 8 final showdown enters the penultimate stage tomorrow with the final match between millers Sony Sugar battling it out against league champions Gor Mahia.
Gor Mahia eliminated last year’s champions Tusker 2-1 the same day Sony outclassed Sofapaka 3-1 in the semi finals to book a place in the finals
Awendo based Sony Sugar are gracing their first final in this competition and are in high spirits ahead of the final.
They meet a team that has gone unbeaten in the league.
Pundits give the sugar millers a rare chance to bag the title although the camp at SoNy are so much optimistic of a shock in Kisumu.
The last time the two teams met was in a Sportpesa Premier league with the champions winning by a solitary goal.
Sony Coach Salim Babu will depend once again on the confidence Ugandan Allan Owiny has shown in between the posts together with red hot Robert Omunuk,Victor Asembeka and Justin Monda who were all impressive over the weekend where they beat Sofapaka.
The millers will however miss the services of prolific goal scorer Marwa Chamberi who opted out of the travelling squad to attend to personal issues
Captain Sylvester Wanyama, elder brother to Southampton mudfielder Victor Wanyama will miss the final due to injury.
The final match will be preceded by a Gotv Shield clash between hosts Nzoia United against high riding Muhoroni Youth.
The ticketing information for the final match has so far been released with Big Brother events Management Ticketing and Security mandated with the task .The sales of the tickets begin at 8am with VIP going for Ksh 600 and Ksh 300 for terraces.
It is highly likely that Babu would start with the squad that skinned Batoto Bamungu in the semis.
