Also static are Ethiopia (124), Tanzania (135) and Burundi (141).

Rwanda have climbed down one place to 118.

South Sudan are the biggest regional gainers – climbing eight places to 146.

Unlike the other teams which were inactive in the month of April, the Bright Stars beat Somalia 4-1 aggregate to reach the second round of CHAN 2018 qualifiers.

Egypt (19) maintain the top spot in Africa followed by Senegal (30), Cameroon (33), Burkina Faso (35) and Nigeria (40).

Brazil is the best team in the world followed by Argentina, Germany, Chile and Colombia.

The next ranking will be released on 1st June 2017.
