The forward signed for the Kenyan Premier League side in a big money move rumored then to be worth USD 20,000 in June after his contract with Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) ended.
But barely three months into the deal, the two have separated over what the player claims was breach of contract by his employer for non payment of his salary and allowances for the last three months amounting to USD 4,500.
Speaking to Kawowo Sports, Wasswa’s agent Geofrey Solo Kayemba said the conditions for his client had become unbearable.
“The conditions for my players had become unbearable. The USD 4,500 is cumulative from monthly wages and playing allowances. He is back in Kampala and a free agent ready to negotiate a new deal with another club.”
Wasswa played eight matches for the 2009 KPL champions scoring twice. There are already interests for his signature in Uganda with URA FC and Police FC leading the hunt for his signature (reports Kawowo) – but all that will depend on whether his gets his international transfer certificate (ITC) from Kenyan FA in time.
