Emerging Stars imejikwaa baada ya kufungwa na Sudan mabao 2-0 katika mechi ya kwanza iliyochezwa ugenini katika mchuano wa hatua ya pili, kufuzu kicheza fainali ya vijana wasiozidi miaka 23 barani Afrika, itakayofanyika mwezi Novemba nchini Misri.
Waleed Hamid ndiye aliyeifungia Sudan mabao yote mawili, bao la kwanza likitikisa nyavu ya Kenya katika dakika 33 huku bao la pili na la ushindi likifungwa kupitia mkwaju wa penalti katika dakika ya 75.
Kenya inahitaji kufunga mabao 3-0 itakapocheza na Sudan tarehe 26 mwezi Machi, katika uwanja wa Kimataifa wa Kasarani jijini Nairobi, ili kusonga mbele katika hatua ya tatu na ya mwisho ya kufuzu.

Mataifa nane, yatashiriki katika fainali hiyo, huku timu zitakazomaliza katika nafasi tatu bora, zitafuzu katika michezo ya Olimpiki itakayofanyika nchini Japan mwaka 2020.
