Kenya FIFA friendly against Zambia that was scheduled for November 14th in Machakos has been cancelled due to “logistical issues.”

According to Football Kenya Federation, it will be impossible for the Chipolopolo “to fly to Kenya in time.”

“It’s unfortunate that Zambia will not be able to honor the friendly due to what we have understood to be logistical issues around the team’ travel,”

“As such, we have been forced to cancel the friendly,” FKF statement says.

Initially, Stars were to play Rwanda on November 14th but was also cancelled as the Amavubi were handed a chance by CAF to play Ethiopia in the CHAN 2018 playoff.

A squad of 25 home-based professionals had been named by coach Stanley Okumbi for the Zambia tie.

FKF has said they will look for another opponent to make sure the FIFA window is utilized.

Zambia will play Cameroon in their dead rubber 2018 World Cup qualifier on November 11th in Ndola.
