Kenyan international and former Tusker FC defender David “Cheche” has joined North American second tier Soccer League side New York Cosmos for the 2016 season, weeks after unsuccessful trails in Denmark and Sweden.
This was revealed on the club’s official portal; “ We are excited to have David here with us for the 2016 season,he is a young, talented national team player that can come here and enhance our strength in the middle of our defense.” Cosmos Head Coach and Sporting Director Giovanni Savarese said.
Cheche could not hide his joy, saying he is ready to contribute to the reputation of the club through hard work.
“Joining the New York Cosmos is a privilege. I know this is a team with great history, and one that now prides itself on strong defense. I hope to contribute to that reputation through hardwork.” He said.
