Struggling SportPesa Premier League sides Zoo FC and Mt Kenya United picked wins over Vihiga United and Chemelil Sugar FC in some of the SportPesa Premier League matches played on Wednesday 17th April.
Zoo FC 1-0 Vihiga United
Danson Chetambe scored the all-important goal as Zoo FC beat Vihiga by a solitary goal at the Green Stadium in Kericho.
Mt Kenya United 4-3 Chemelil Sugar FC
At the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, relegation-threatened Mt Kenya registered a 4-3 win over Chemelil. Mt Kenya’s goals were scored by new signing Leroy Otieno, Brian Nyakan, Philip Odhiambo who scored from the spot and Kelvin Omondi while Chemelil found the back of the net through Musa Oundo and Vincent Mahiga who scored a brace.
Mathare United 3-2 Nzoia Sugar FC
Mathare United also registered an emphatic 3-2 win over visiting Nzoia Sugar FC at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani.
Clifford Alwanga grabbed a brace for the Slum Boys with Kevin Kimani scoring the other while Nzoia got their goals through Vincent Ngesa and Kevin Juma.
Western Stima 0-2 Ulinzi Stars
Enosh Ochieng’s fine form was crucial again for Ulinzi as his brace won the maximum points for the soldiers in Kisumu against Western Stima.
Bandari 2-1 KCB FC
At the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa, Yema Mwana also scored for Bandari as the beat KCB FC 2-1. The bankers pulled a consolation from the spot through Ezekiel Odera.
