Football crisis deepened after Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Limited failed to resolve their differences over the composition of the top flight league.
The federation backed league kicked off on February 15 and is being run by Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF PL) which consists of 18 teams. KPL insists on having a 16 team league they are running that commences on February 21.
In the meeting the government was represented by Wario, Principal Secretary Richard Ekai and Commissioner for Sports Gordon Oluoch.
The federation had FKF chairman Sam Nyamweya, vice chairman Robert Asembo, chief executive Michaal Esakwa and other national executive officials as KPL had Gor Mahia chief Ambrose Rachier AFC Leopard’s Allan Kasavuli and Managing Director Jack Oguda.
