Sony Sugar FC youngster Joshua Otieno has been invited to train with Hull City U-18 team at East Yorkshire despite not kicking the ball during Kenya Premier League All Stars exhibition match aganist Hull City that was played on Monday night.
According to information on Hull City’s portal,the 16-year-old, who fans saw come as a second half subsitute with less than a minute of added time, is scheduled to train with the Tigers for next few days.
He is scheduled to return to Kenya on Sunday and was included in the team after impressing at a training camp that was run by coaches from the Hull City’s academy in Nairobi.
It’s a massive step up to be involved with the Hull City team training after administrative problems that saw Otieno arriving in England hours before the historical match that was played at KCOM stadium where All Stars lost 2-1 to Hull City XI in a match that was attended by 4500 fans and was broadcasted across Africa.
