Gor Mahia beat Nakumatt 2-0 to hand new coach Dylan Kerr his first competitive win in a Kenyan Premier League match played at Nyayo Stadium Sunday.

The three points take the 15-times champions back to the helm of the league standings on 31 points with a game at hand.

Eugene Ambulwa crumbled under pressure – turning the ball into his own in the early exchanges to give K’Ogalo a 1-0 lead which lasted into the breather.

George Odhiambo doubled the lead with a minute left to the final whistle with a superb solo effort to crown a good outing for the men in green.

Defending champions Tusker FC on the other hand rallied to pick a 1-1 draw against Posta Rangers at Kinaru Stadium.

Veteran forward Dennis Mukaisi gave the mail men the lead in the 7th minute, but prodigy Boniface Muchiri leveled for the hosts in the 42nd .

Posta retain the second spot in the standings – one point behind leaders Gor, while Ulinzi Stars, who lost 2-1 to Nzoia Sugar on Sunday drop to third on 29 points, with Tusker coming in fourth on equal points.
